Educator Grant Process Now Open
Behind every successful student is a passionate, highly trained, inspired teacher. To further inspire and support the Edina Public School's staff, the Edina Education Fund is excited to announce the opening of our 2017-2018 Educator Grants Program.
Since 1999, we have awarded over 300 grants to educators in all nine Edina Public Schools. Grants range from $1,000 to $5,000 in value.
Our Educator Grants are available to all Edina Public School's district staff. Through the Educator Grants Program, we support projects that encourage and facilitate inspiration and creativity in the classroom, promote collaboration and the exchange of ideas, and further academic excellence in the Edina Public Schools.
In the 2017-2018 school year, we are interested in funding projects that directly align with three of the district's Educational Competencies: Globally Competent Individual, Motivated Lifelong Learner, and Well-Rounded Individual. In addition, funded projects will advance curriculum through best practice/staff development, curriculum standards, and 21st century learning.
Project Concept Forms are due November 27th, 2017. Applicants will be notified by December 8, 2017 if they are invited to submit a full proposal. Full proposals/ grant applications will be due January 10, 2018. All requests are reviewed by the Edina Education Fund's Educator Grants Team, with final approval by the Ed Fund's Board of Directors. Grants will be awarded at the end of January 2018.
